Atlantic City, New Jersey
Brian O. Hill of Trenton, N.J. beats the subordinate Clauses to win the Atlantic City “Most Authentic Santa Claus”
Sponsored by Tropicana Casino Havana Claus
Mr. Hill epitomizes the spirit of Santa.
His look is picture-perfect and his delivery sparkles.
He has all five of the Big B-words children look for — Buckle, Belt, Boots, Belly, and Beard.
The bronze buckle on his black leather belt is an image of Rudolph, his favorite reindeer, and hand-cast in bronze.
His shoe buckles, 2×3″ ovals with an image of himself, are also hand-cast in bronze.
His shoes are black leather U.S. Army paratrooper jump boots.
Santa sports a replica 1931 Hayden Sunbloom Coca-Cola Santa suit hand-sewn in Wilmington, N.C. by seamstress Debby Scheu.
This Santa doesn’t mind much less worry about kids tugging on his near-white beard — it’s very real.
There are few questions Santa can not answer when children ask.
If you’ve been good, he may give you a giant 1 oz. candy cane.
His business cards read, “Kris Kringle, The One and Only.” His website is www.santaclausnp.com
When he peers over his spectacles with his blue, crinkled eyes and says, “Be good. I’m Watching,” he leaves no doubt that there is a Santa Claus.
Mr. Hill makes appearances at homes, private parties, schools, and municipal events, and entertains and sits for photos at many fundraisers at locations between New York City and Philadelphia.
Santa was awarded a cash prize which he donated locally.
